DE FFollowing a 14-month intensive development program, SAT Group has successfully delivered the first batch of next-generation Class 5 ballistic-protected vehicles to a European security partner.

The SAT-AV5 platform represents the culmination of years of engineering refinement. Each vehicle achieves Class 5 ballistic protection while maintaining a gross vehicle weight of 7,800 kg — a significant engineering achievement that allows for superior mobility across all terrain types without compromising crew protection.

The delivery marks a major milestone for SAT Group's defense division, which has grown significantly since its establishment in 2011. The program involved over 40 engineers across design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams at our Thüringen facility.

"This delivery demonstrates our ability to meet the most demanding defense procurement requirements on time and to specification," said CEO Hans Schmidt. "The SAT-AV5 sets a new benchmark for armored vehicle performance in its class."

The vehicles are now undergoing final acceptance testing with the client before entering operational service.
